
Mobeus backs £14m Entanet MBO
Mobeus Equity Partners has invested £6m in the £14m management buyout of Entanet International.
The fresh funding will be used to support the company's growth.
Company
Founded in 1996 by Jason Tsai, Entanet is a wholesale voice and data communications provider. The company provides a range of data and voice services for businesses through a network of 2,000 wholesale and reseller channel partners in the UK.
Services include broadband, leased lines, EFM, IP VPNs, hosting and co-location, VoIP and traditional telecoms. The company operates its own nationwide network, enabling it to provide up to 10Gb/s capacity to UK customers. Entanet also has further connectivity in Amsterdam and Frankfurt as well as 900 peering relationships across Europe.
Headquartered in Telford, the company employs 80 people and generates revenues of around £27m.
People
Entanet was founded by Jason Tsia, who will remain a significant shareholder in the company. Elsa Chen is managing director of Entanet. As part of the deal, Mobeus has introduced Richard Atkins as investing chairman. Mobeus partner Ashley Broomberg led the deal.
