
YFM backs MBO of Displayplan
YFM Equity Partners has acquired display fixtures business Displayplan Limited from Leggett & Platt UK Limited for an undisclosed amount.
YFM made the investment through the vehicles British Smaller Companies VCT plc and British Smaller Companies VCT2 plc. Investment will underpin plans for organic growth through development of the products and services offered by Displayplan.
YFM aims to make equity investments between £100k and £10m and currently has a portfolio of 200 companies in the UK.

The Derby corporate banking centre of The Co-operative Bank provided undisclosed senior debt and full-banking facilities to support the transaction.
Company
Founded in 1984 and based in Hertfordshire, Displayplan provides retail display consultancy from concept to design, sourcing and product delivery. The company employs 50 members of staff across premises in the UK, China, Germany and Holland.
People
Investment director Mary Broadhead worked on the transaction for YFM Equity Partners. Mark Turner is senior business development manager at the Derby corporate banking centre of The Co-operative Bank. Neil Campbell has worked at Displayplan since 1992 and has been appointed executive chairman. Scott Morris will continue as managing director of the company.
