
Kernel backs Kinesense
Kernel Capital has invested €500,000 in Dublin-based software company Kinesense.
The money was drawn from Kernel's €70m Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund. A further €120,000 was provided by BES and angel investors in syndication with the GP's investment.
Kinesense will use the funding to expand internationally and develop its products.
Company
Kinesense specialises in providing software for the analysis of video content. The company was founded in Dublin in 2009 with support from Enterprise Ireland, an Irish Government development agency. Kinesense caters particularly for the law enforcement and security markets, where its software is used for CCTV video retrieval and analysis.
