Charterhouse Capital's Webhelp acquires HeroTSC
Charterhouse Capital's portfolio company Webhelp has acquired Scottish call centres operator HeroTSC for a reported тЌ90m.
The deal will allow Webhelp to move into the British market. Charterhouse acquired Webhelp in June 2011 for €340m from Astorg Partners and Equistone (then Barclays Private Equity).
Company
HeroTSC is a Falkirk-based call centres operator. The company employs 6,000 people across nine locations. Its client base includes Sky and Vodafone.
The company, which was founded under the name TSC, was acquired by Indian call centre operator Hero for £40m in 2007, when it changed its name to HeroTSC. Following the acquisition by Webhelp, the company will be known as Webhelp TSC and open an additional marketing office in London.
The consolidated group will operate 33 call centres with 16,500 employees, and generate annual revenues of €350m.
