
RCapital sells Rolling Luggage to Samsonite
RCapital has sold luggage company Rolling Luggage to trade buyer Samsonite.
The deal is reported to be worth £15.75m. It follows a successful turnaround of Rolling Luggage, which secured a long-term extension to its outlets at Heathrow Airport in October last year.
Previous funding
RCapital acquired Rolling Luggage as part of the restructuring of Tie Rack in 2013. Prior to this, the company had been suffering from underinvestment. RCapital's acquisition secured 350 jobs globally.

Rolling Luggage is a retail company specialising in luggage for travel. Founded in 1995, the business operates through 36 stores – predominantly in airports – across seven countries, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Hong Kong and Australia.
For the year on 31 January 2015, Rolling Luggage generated sales of £26.7m, an increase of 11.3% on the previous year.
