YFM backs £10m MBO of Intelligent Office
YFM Equity Partners has invested ТЃ5m as part of the ТЃ10m management buyout of Intelligent Office UK, a legal support services provider.
The new owner expects to grow the company on the back of the increased use of outsourcing in the sector.
James Greenbury, current chairman of Parcel2gp and former founder and CEO of MailSource, joins the company as non-executive chairman as part of the transaction.
The company's founder, Margaret McPherson, will remain as director and shareholder.

Headquartered in Alloa, Scotland, Intelligent Office has two divisions: the first is its managed services unit, which works within firms' premises to improve key administrative functions in print, mail, reception, document production and secretarial services. Managed services clients include Wragge & Co and Capsticks.
The transcription services division provides document production services for clients including HBJ Gateley and Boodle Hatfield. The unit operates from a secure shared services centre in the UK.
The company reported a £14m turnover and is forecast to grow by 21% in the current financial year. Intelligent Office was founded in 2001.
