Albion leads investment in Aridhia Informatics
Albion Ventures has led a funding round for health and biomedical informatics firm Aridhia Informatics.
Existing backer Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) also contributed to the round. The fresh funding will support the roll-out of the firm's core platform.
Company
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Edinburgh, Aridhia has built an informatics platform with analytical tools to support healthcare and research. The company has a network of international clients including the Ministry of Health of Kuwait and NHS Scotland.
The platform uses big data analytics to understand the relationship between healthcare events. It enables the effective management of chronic diseases and supports the shift to stratified medicine, where a patient's profile is used to tailor preventative measures or treatments based on the likelihood of a positive treatment response.
People
Andrew Elder is a partner and head of healthcare at Albion. Jan Rutherford is a partner at SEP.
