YFM and EV reinvest in Peckforton Pharmaceuticals
YFM Equity Partners and Enterprise Ventures have joined the management in investing over ТЃ1m in portfolio company Peckforton Pharmaceuticals.
EV invested through the RisingStars Fund and Coalfields Enterprise Fund. YFM made the investment through the North West Business Investment Scheme, a private equity and venture capital regional development scheme targeted towards small businesses in the north-west region, managed by YFM.
The latest funding round will back the growth of the company, including product development and European expansion.
Debt
Royal Bank of Scotland provided senior debt to support the transaction.
Previous funding
EV first invested £250,000 in 2004. YFM invested £200,000 in 2007.
Company
Based in Crewe, Peckforton Pharmaceuticals specialises in the development, manufacture and supply of branded and generic pharmaceuticals for the GP and Hospital markets within the UK and Europe. The company, which focuses on injectable drugs, has been the primary supplier to the NHS Commercial Medicines Unit for the last five years.
