
BNY Mellon appoints Burns as head of PE accounting
Investment bank BNY Mellon has appointed Eamon Burns as regional head of private equity accounting for EMEA within its asset servicing business.
Based in Dublin, Burns will lead the BNY Mellon team of specialists in Dublin and Luxembourg, servicing private equity administration clients in the EMEA region. He will report to Caoimhghin O'Donnell, managing director and head of AIS fund accounting.
Joining from State Street, Burns has also worked at Goldman Sachs for 11 years. There, he was responsible for management of all aspects of fund accounting for private equity fund clients.
BNY Mellon opened its first Irish office in 1994. The business employs 1,800 people in Ireland across offices in Cork, Wexford and Dublin.
BNY Mellon is an administrator of alternative assets including private equity, hedge funds and funds-of-hedge funds, with more than $600bn of alternative assets under administration.
