
LDC acquires Original Additions
LDC has acquired beauty accessories supplier Original Additions in a secondary buyout from Matrix Private Equity and Barclays Ventures.
Previous investment
In summer 2004 Barclays Ventures backed the management buyout of Original Additions together with Matrix Private Equity in a deal estimated at the time to be worth in excess of £10m. The investors acquired a majority stake in the business with the management holding the balance. Royal Bank of Scotland provided a package of around £5.7m, comprising senior debt and working capital, to facilitate the deal.

Founded in 1978, Original Additions owns a range of beauty brands, including the UK's largest false nail brand Elegant Touch, the major eyelash and eye products brand Eylure. The company has a turnover of more than £30m.
People
Paul Figgins and Andy Grove led the transaction for LDC and will join the board of Original Additions.
