BGF invests £2.5m in Horbury Group
The Business Growth Fund (BGF) has invested ТЃ2.5m of growth capital into interior subcontractor Horbury Group.
The investment will enable Horbury to tender for an increasing number of larger projects. Furthermore, following the deal, Horbury will look to expand its workforce.
Company
Established in 1993, Horbury operates three main businesses: Horbury Building Systems, Titan Interior Solutions and MWS Joinery. The company generates combined turnover of £50m and employs 800 people. Horbury is headquartered in Yorkshire with further offices in London and South Wales.
Horbury provides internal fit out services comprising partitionings, ceilings, joinery and flooring to constructions companies including Carillion, Balfour Beatty, Kier and Shepherd Construction. Recent projects the company has worked on include the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Liverpool Library, Manchester Metropolitan University's Business School, Reading Railway Station and Park Hotel in Nottingham.

Trevor Wragg is founder and group managing director of Horbury. Andy Gregory, BGF's regional director for the North of England, led the deal supported by Neil Inskip and Sam Davies.
