The Orange Lights (United Kingdom) - Oct 2007

Ingenious has backed the debut album of The Orange Lights with an investment of £824,000 made through Ingenious Music VCT 2. A new company was formed to facilitate the transaction, which will be 50% owned by Ingenious alongside the band’s management and record label Blackbird Records Ltd. The capital will be used to fund the production of the album, which is currently being recorded, as well its distribution and marketing.

Company

The Orange Lights, originally from Newcastle, are a five-piece band formed by Paul Tucker, the former Lighthouse Family songwriter, and featuring Jason Hart, who toured extensively as guitarist with Spiritualized. The band, formed in 2006, are hoping to build on the success Tucker achieved with The Lighthouse Family; selling 11 million records worldwide and recording six UK top 20 singles.
