JF Lehman acquires Aeronautical & GI Holding
New York-based JF Lehman has acquired Aeronautical & GI Holdings (AGI Holdings) and its subsidiaries Aeronautical & General Instruments (AGI) and Hoffman Engineering Corporation.
JF Lehman is focused on the defence, aeronautical and maritime sectors. The firm is based in New York, with additional offices in Washington DC and London. In 2011, the mid-cap investor closed its latest fund, JFL Equity Investors III, on $575.5m, exceeding its $450m target.

BNP Paribas provided debt funding to support the transaction.
Company
Founded in 1951, AGI Holdings provides naval vessels, military and commercial aircraft and military ground vehicles with LED lighting systems for situational awareness. These include naval visual landing systems, wind and speed sensor systems, airfield lighting, aircraft and ground vehicle lights and night vision test equipment.
AGI is headquartered in Poole, UK, while Hoffman is based in Stamford, US. Its customer base spans more than 50 countries.
