Index Ventures backs Resource Guru
Index Ventures has led an $870,000 investment round for London-based scheduling systems firm Resource Guru.
The latest round, which saw participation from existing and new backers, takes the firm's total funding to $1.4m.
The firm's shareholding includes angel investor Rob Keve, the founder of customer feedback firm Fizzback Group, a former portfolio company of Nauta Capital and Advent Venture Partners. Other private individuals are original backers of the company.
The fresh funding will accelerate hiring, product development and help expand the firm's customer base.

Founded in 2012 and based in London, Resource Guru provides cloud-based scheduling systems. Customers include Vodafone, Intel and the National Geographic Channel. The software allows users to schedule people, equipment and resources online via a web app.
