Innovacom et al. in $12m Videoplaza round
Innovacom and Qualcomm Ventures have joined existing investors in a $12m series-B funding round for Videoplaza, a UK-based company developing ad-serving technology for managing and monetising online video content.
Innovacom contributed €4m to the round, in which existing investors Creandum and Northzone Ventures also took part. The fresh equity will be used by Videoplaza to further develop its product and services.
Creandum and Northzone Ventures led a €3.5m round for Videoplaza in 2010. Creandum had previously participated in the company's first round of external funding, investing €420,000 alongside business angels in August 2008.
Company
Founded in 2007, Videoplaza develops and supplies a platform used by media companies to monetise their online video content, regardless of the targeted technology (computer, mobile, tablet, connected TV, etc). Based in London, the company also has offices in Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid, Paris and Singapore.

Bruno Dizengremel led the deal for Innovacom. Sorosh Tavakoli is CEO of Videoplaza.
