Carlyle picks up Barbon
Carlyle has purchased Barbon Insurance Group, a UK-based provider of tenant referencing and insurance products to the rental market.
Carlyle invested through its Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners II fund, a vehicle focused on financial services. The deal marks the fund's fourth transaction.
Company
Lincoln-based Barbon trades under three brands – HomeLet, Letsure and Rentshield. The company also produces the HomeLet Rental Index, which provides data on rental prices in the UK.
