State Street appoints new head of operations
State Street Corporation has appointed Paul McLaughlin as head of operations for its Alternative Investment Solutions team in Guernsey.
Prior to joining the team, McLaughlin spent 11 years at BNY Mellon in Dublin as head of alternative investment servicing funds-of-funds and private equity for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In his new role, McLaughlin will help build State Street's alternative investment servicing business in EMEA, with particular emphasis on the private equity and real estate funds sector.
Phil McGowan, senior managing director of State Street's private equity, real estate and corporate services business in EMEA, stated that the senior appointment confirms State Street's choice of the Channel Islands as the centre of its private equity and real estate servicing business in EMEA.
