Accel promotes two to partnership
Accel Partners has promoted Philippe Botteri (pictured above) and Michiel Kotting to partner.
The venture firm, which closed its $475m Accel London IV fund in March last year, also appointed three new vice presidents, two associates and an executive in residence.
Having joined Accel in 2011, Botteri focuses on investments in the internet, software and mobile sectors and led the investments in BlaBlaCar, Docusign and Hailo. He also co-led Accel's investment in HouseTrip and Crowdstrike. Botteri previously worked at Bessemer Venture Partners in the Silicon Valley and McKinsey & Company in Europe and the US.

Kotting (pictured right) joined Accel in 2010. He led the investments in Vinted and Fiverr, and worked on Accel's investments in Spotify, Avito, Funding Circle and Calastone. Kotting founded online shopping assistant Digital Jones in 1999.
Accel has also appointed Chrysanthos Chrysanthou, Luciana Lixandru and Michael Treskow as vice presidents. Vision Capital's Seth Pierrepoint and James Cameron have joined the team as associates, while Adrian Asher is the new executive in residence.
