Sovereign supports Eden's HASS acquisition
Eden Supported Living, backed by buy-and-build specialist Sovereign Capital, has acquired Housing & Support Solutions (HASS).
Sovereign backed the management buyout of Eden in September 2010. In January this year, Eden opened Bestwood Hospital, comprising six self-contained apartments, enabling people with complex needs to receive treatment at home.
Company
Established in 2002, HASS operates from two offices in Lincoln and Cleethorpes. The company provides support and care services to 139 adults including domestic care and 24-hour supported living. Services are provided for adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
Eden provides services primarily in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
Following the transaction, the combined company will employ more than 700 staff.
People
Eden's CEO Alistair How will become head of the entire organisation. David Whittock, co-founder of HASS, will continue to work with the combined business as part of the senior management team.
