
MMC Ventures in £3m round for Wedo
MMC Ventures has led a £3m funding round for online retailer Wedo.
Previous backer Passion Capital also committed to the funding round, having first backed the firm in a seed round in 2012.
The company plans to expand its product range into broader homeware products and develop new sites dedicated to soft furnishings, bathroom and garden. Wedo also intends to improve internal logistics and processes through the construction of new systems.

Founded in 2011, Wedo is an online furniture retailer. It retails more than 100 British brands including Bentley Designs and Sealy. The firm has a customer service team based in London, employs 40 members of staff and has a 10,000ft retail store in Colchester.
