
Beringea exits Fjord
Beringea has sold service design consultancy Fjord to management technology outsourcing and consulting service provider Accenture Interactive.
Beringea first invested in the company in March 2009, injecting £2.4m alongside investment bank GP Bullhound, which invested £250,000.
Since the investment, Fjord has grown from three offices to nine, with the latest office openings in Istanbul and San Francisco.

Founded in 2001, Fjord is a service design consultancy specialising in digital services. The company focuses on mobile technology and creates services for its clients that aim to reflect new behaviours and expectations driven by technology.
Fjord works across a range of sectors including finance, telecommunications, travel and retail. The company's client list includes BBC, Citibank, Harvard Medical School, Nokia and PayPal. Fjord employs more than 200 design professionals and has operations in Berlin, Helsinki, Istanbul, London, Madrid, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Stockholm.

CEO Olof Schybergson and chief client officer Mark Curtis will continue to manage the company following the deal. Chairman Mike Beeston will step down.
