Connect Ventures invests in Yourgrind
London-based early-stage investor Connect Ventures has backed British start-up Yourgrind, which focuses on the commercialisation of coffee.
Connect Ventures typically invests £200,000-1m per transaction. The VC was joined by British business angels in the funding round.
The company will focus on the UK coffee market for the time being, before applying its model on an international scale.
The investment is the second completed by Connect Ventures in the e-commerce space, following a capital injection into fashion e-commerce firm SecretSales.
Company
Founded in 2012 and based in London, Yourgrind is a coffee e-commerce company. Users are able to log onto the site and specify how they make their coffee and the flavours they prefer, before selecting whole beans or ground coffee.
