TA Associates backs Flashtalking

TA Associates has invested in London-based Flashtalking, an international advertising technology company.

Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed, though it is likely to be a significant investment: TA typically invests a minimum of $50m in businesses worth between $150m and $3bn. . Flashtalking will use the fresh capital for expanding in the US and potentially to further internationalise the business.

TA Associates invested in Flashtalking due to its financial performance and an attractive, diversified customer base, according to the GP.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in London, Flashtalking is an international provider of digital advertising products, services and support for online advertisers and creative agencies.

The company offers products for desktop, tablet and mobile devices across multiple advertising formats, including video, rich media and standard display.

Flashtalking's software platform serves billions of ad impressions in Europe, the US and other markets. Flashtalking also has offices in Chicago, Cologne, Leeds, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.

Jonathan Meeks is a managing director at TA Associates. J. Morgan Seigler is a principal at TA Associates. Meeks and Seigler will join the company's board of directors. Paul Cunningham is the founder and CEO of Flashtalking.
