
LDC backs barriers manufacturer ATG Access
LDC has made a minority investment in ATG Access, a British manufacturer of vehicle barrier systems.
The new investment will support the company's expansion throughout the Middle East and Asia, as well as South America and Africa. ATG will be considering bolt-on acquisitions in the future.
Company
ATG is a Haydock-based company that designs and manufactures high-security vehicle barriers. Its clients include Heathrow Airport, the Shanghai Expo Centre and London's Horse Guards Parade. ATG exports its products to 40 countries worldwide.
The company employs 70 people and generated revenues of £16.4m in the financial year to April 2012.
People
Directors Ged Gould and Carl Wormald led the deal for LDC from the company's North West office. Gould will join ATG's board upon completion of the deal. Glenn Cooper is CEO of the company.
