
NVM backs Kirton MBO
NVM Private Equity has backed the £5.5m MBO of Kirton Group, a UK manufacturer and supplier of specialist seating products for the elderly and disabled.
The management team plans to grow the company organically and via acquisitions, as well as by expanding overseas.
Kirton acquired specialist chair manufacturer AJ Way, based in High Wycombe, in 2010.
Earlier this week, NVM provided £3m towards the £4.4m MBO of applied environmental biotechnology specialist Cleveland Biotech.

Founded more than 30 years ago by Martin Battye and based in Haverhill, Kirton is a manufacturer and supplier of specialist seating for the elderly and disabled.
The group's core customers are local authorities, NHS Trusts, private care homes and the homecare market.
People
David Rolfe and James Arrowsmith are investment directors at NVM. Rolfe will join Kirton's board. Beverly Lawrence is group managing director at Kirton. Mike Lord will be joining the business as chairman.
