Sun Capital acquires Personal Care division
Sun Capital Partners has acquired the cosmetics, toiletries and household care products division of Personal Care from consumer packaging company Rexam for $459m.
A subsidiary of US consumer goods packaging products supplier Silgan Holdings has acquired the high barrier foods division of Personal Care for $250m.
The sale of Personal Care is part of Rexam's restructuring programme designed to cut down on overheads.
Company
Founded in 2007 and based in London, Personal Care offers packaging solutions to beauty, personal care and home products manufacturers. The firm employs around 7,000 members of staff across Europe, the US and Asia and reported a £502m turnover for 2011.
The cosmetics, toiletries and household care products division generated an operating profit of £26m in 2011.
