Atlantic Bridge III holds first close
Dublin-based technology-focused fund Atlantic Bridge III has held a first close as it moves towards its тЌ140m target.
Atlantic Bridge is an Ireland-based expansion fund with offices in Dublin, London, Silicon Valley, Beijing and Hong Kong. It also co-manages Summit Bridge Capital – a $100m China-Ireland technology fund, alongside West Summit Capital.
Investors
The fund has attracted commitments from existing investors including the Ireland Strategic Investments Fund, Enterprise Ireland and the European Investment Fund (EIF). New investors include the British Business Bank, which committed €13m, as well as a number of pension funds. Irish bank AIB has also come on board as a new investor.
Investments
The new fund will look to invest in 20 European companies. It is currently in the process of completing seven transactions. The vehicle focuses on expanding Irish and European companies within high-growth enterprise technology sectors including cloud, big data, augmented and virtual reality software, robotics and the internet of things.
