UK Watch: Smaller buyouts still growing
The UKтs smaller buyout space has gone from strength-to-strength in the second quarter of 2012, according to figures in the latest unquoteт UK Watch, in association with Corbett Keeling.
The first half of the year has seen a total of 67 buyouts worth less than €150m, the highest half-year total since 2008.
However, the picture is mixed and larger buyouts worth €150m or more continue to struggle, likely due to constraints in leverage, while early-stage and expansion activity has remained static.
