Video: AXA Private Equity's Stefano Mion
Stefano Mion, the head of AXA Private Equity's UK operations, talks to unquote" news editor Greg Gille about the firm's fund-of-funds strategy.
Although the fundraising landscape is considerably different compared to the pre-crisis era, Mion highlights that the firm has not significantly altered its approach to GP selection: "We pick the best firms and we try to stick with them in the long run."
That said, terms and conditions are changing. "Clearly we are adapting to those and we are negotiating better terms and conditions as a limited partner," notes Mion, who also highlights the growing importance of ESG (environmental, social, governance) issues when building relationships with GPs.
