Advent appoints Gilles Denoyel as industry adviser
Global private equity firm Advent international has announced the appointment of Gilles Denoyel as independent industry adviser.
Denoyel's recruitment stems from Advent's interest in financial services, a sector the firm believes will produce attractive investment opportunities in France.
From March 2015 until April 2016, Denoyel was international president of institutional relations for Europe at HSBC, having formerly served as chief risk officer, head of asset management and insurance, and chief operating officer.
In addition to this, since June 2016 Denoyel has been senior adviser for financial services at consulting firm Bain & Company – a role that he will continue to perform while working with Advent. He has served on numerous boards of directors of public companies, and was also appointed inspector of finances for the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance in 1981.
