
L Catterton hires Mariager as operating partner in Paris
US-headquartered consumer-focused general partner L Catterton has hired former Flying Tiger CEO Christian Mariager as operating partner in its Paris office.
Mariager joins from Danish speciality retailer Flying Tiger, an EQT portfolio company, where he was CEO between 2013-2015.
Prior to his time at Flying Tiger, the Dane spent 23 years at McKinsey and Co, with stints in the firm's Copenhagen, Tokyo and New York offices. Between 2003-2012, Mariager was a senior partner leading McKinsey's global consumer strategy practice from New York.
Mariager holds board member positions with Danish health and beauty retailer Matas, which was previously owned by CVC; and Danish gourmet food group Løgismose Meyers, which was acquired by IK Investment Partners in 2015. He is also the chair of VC-backed Danish telecoms company Comitel.
