New UK-Nordic VC Oxx hires Carlyle partner Easton

Recently established London- and Stockholm-based growth capital investor Oxx has appointed Carlyle Group partner Robert Easton as a senior adviser.
Currently a partner and senior adviser at Carlyle, Easton will provide strategic counsel to Oxx on future investments and manage the firm's portfolio. He will be involved with the firm on a part-time basis, alongside his role at Carlyle.
Easton has been with Carlyle for 15 years, initially leading the firm's UK buyouts team. Previously, he led the GP's Carlyle Cardinal Ireland fund – a vehicle focused on growth capital and buyout investments in Ireland – and was the co-head of European technology growth capital and buyout fund Carlyle Europe Technology Partners.
Former Amadeus Capital partners Richard Anton and Mikael Johnsson launched Oxx earlier in 2017. Anton had spent 18 years at Amadeus. The duo's new firm has offices in Stockholm and London, and manages six startups on behalf of their previous employer.
