83North hires Just Eat's David Buttress as partner

VC firm 83North has appointed the former CEO of Just Eat, David Buttress, to general partner in its London office.
Buttress will be working with 83North portfolio companies on the operational side of their business models – having worked closely with 83North in the past as CEO of Just Eat. The VC firm was an early investor in the company, which Buttress founded in 2006 and brought to IPO in 2014.
83North held a close on $250m for its fourth fund earlier this year with a mandate to back early-stage technology companies across Europe and Israel. Buttress will be working with these companies to scale their business models.
83North was founded in Greylock, US, but now also invests in Europe and Israel. Around half of its portfolio companies have US operations.
