
Guy Hands commits capital to Volpi's debut fund

Terra Firma chairperson and founder Guy Hands has committed capital to the debut vehicle of Volpi Capital, according to publicly available documents.
Newbury Equity Partners and Cuna Mutual Group's Members Capital Advisors have also joined Access Capital, Hermes GPE and BVK Private Equity in committing capital to the fund, according to the documents.
Volpi, which makes pan-European investments in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector, is targeting €300m to invest in companies with enterprise values of up to €200m.
The GP, which was founded in 2015 by former 3i partner and head of TMT Crevan O'Grady, invested €90m in the management buyout of Irish IT consultancy business Version 1 from BDO Development Capital in April this year.
