MUFG Investor Services hires new head of fund financing
MUFG Investor Services, the asset servicing arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, has hired Ben Griffiths as managing director and global head of fund financing.
Griffiths will be based in London and will report to John Sergides, MUFG's global head of sales and marketing. He will lead the fund financing team globally to service clients, including funds-of-hedge-funds, private equity lines of subscription and FX lines for feeder funds-of-hedge-funds.
Griffiths joins from Citco Financial Products, where he was managing director and CEO, responsible for lending and FX solutions. Prior to joining Citco in 2005, he was part of the fund-linked product teams at both Bank of America and Societe Generale.
Fund financing has become increasingly prevalent in private equity. With more complex and varying forms of financing appearing on the scene, unquote" recently explored what the market has to offer and how GPs are tailoring facilities to their advantage.
