Hg promotes five to partner
Hg has announced the promotion of five employees to partner, one to COO, and hired GlaxoSmithKline's Caroline Ruter as head of responsible investing.
Nick Jordan, Thorsten Toepfer, Jean-Baptiste Brian, Andrew Jessop and Dawn Marriott-Sims have been promoted to partner.
Jordan is a member of Hg's TMT team and led investments in Zitcom, Esendex, Mobyt and Dada. Toepfer is part of the services team and took part in the investments in JLA, A-Plan, Citation and Radius. Brian was involved in the Visma deal and co-led Ullink and Mitratech, while Jessop is responsible for overall operations and compliance. Marriot-Sims was previously part of Hg's operating partner programme and is responsible for new investments as well as the existing portfolio.
Adittionally, Steven Batchelor was promoted to COO at the end of 2017, following his promotion to partner along with the appointment of Matthew Brockman and Justin von Simson as managing partners earlier in the year.
Finally, Caroline Ruter has joined the firm as head of responsible investing, having previously been head of supply-chain sustainability at GSK.
