John Holloway moves onto new role at EIF

John Holloway, previously head of equity investments at the European Investment Fund (EIF), has moved onto a new role in the organisation, with a focus on private-sector fundraising.
After running the equity investment team at EIF for a number of years, Holloway will now look after a new activity involving fundraising from the private sector to support the equity commitments being made by EIF (amounting to €3.3bn in 2017). EIF is already in discussions with a number of pension funds both in Europe and the rest of the world, Unquote understands.
Holloway took up the new post full-time on 1 January. He joined the European Investment Bank in the 1980s and was appointed director at EIF in 2000. He is currently based in Luxembourg.
