Oakley funds announce €230m of distributions in 2017
Oakley Capital Investments (OCI), the listed LP in Oakley Capital's private equity funds, has announced its 2017 results, including €230m of distributions from the three Oakley Capital funds it holds stakes in.
OCI announced a year-end NAV of £502m, representing a 17% compound annual growth rate over the last five years.
Oakley Fund I made distributions of €69.7m in 2017, mostly generated by selling its stake in Inspired to OCI directly. Other LPs had the option of cashing out or retaining their interest.
Oakley Fund II made distributions of €130.9m, also cashing out its stake in Inspired when TA Associates invested, and making a 2.1x return and 40% IRR on its sale of Host Europe Group.
OCI also made a commitment of €325m for a 40.7% stake in Oakley's third fund, which held a final close on €800m. The vehicle completed five acquisitions in 2017 and announced an equity investment of €84.9m in Career Partner Group in January 2018.
