
Amundi launches €300m LBO debt fund
Global asset manager Amundi has launched a €300m leveraged loans fund to invest in the senior debt of leveraged buyouts and other large-scale acquisitions.
Amundi Leveraged Loans Europe 2018 will select issuers primarily from the portfolio companies of major private equity firms.
The vehicle targets a return of 4% above Euribor until the fund's maturity in six to eight years, and will offer its LPs monthly liquidity.
It has been registered in Luxembourg and is being marketed to investors in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, the UK, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Amundi's private debt and leveraged loans teams manage €5bn and €3bn respectively. The asset manager has a total of €1.4tn under management across the whole group, making it the largest in Europe.
