US pension plan seeks private equity manager
City Of East Providence Rhode Island Police and Fire Fighters Retirement System, a $131.5m pension plan, is seeking private equity managers for its defined benefit scheme.
The pension fund has issued a request for proposals to manage a $5m commitment to a private equity fund, and is accepting submissions from interested firms via its investment consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel.
Potential candidates should have five years' experience in managing private equity funds. Other requirements include experience in managing at least $750m of contributed capital in prior private equity funds.
