
3i appoints six across PE team
3i has made six hires across its private equity business in Europe and North America.
The GP has notably hired Simon Andersen as digital director. He will be based in London, but will oversee digital strategies for existing and prospective investments in Europe and the US. He was previously head of digital international at Marks & Spencer.
Flore Van Schaik has also joined as an associate in Amsterdam. She was previously an investment banking analyst at JP Morgan in London, where she focused on M&A transactions in the Benelux region and on the TMT sector.
Inka Berglar has joined as an associate in Frankfurt. She was previously an investment banking associate at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and London.
Jacques-Henry Grislain has joined as an associate in Paris. He co-founded Cambridge Crops, a biotechnology company based in Boston, after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also worked at Astorg between 2011-2015.
In the US, Zack Shaftal has joined as a senior associate based in New York. He previously worked as an associate at Madison Dearborn Partners.
Jake Behrman has also joined the New York office. The new associate was previously at Metalmark Capital between 2016-2018, prior to which he worked at Morgan Stanley in the global healthcare investment banking group.
