Level 20 appoints Anson as chair
Level 20, the not-for-profit body established to promote women in the private equity industry, has appointed George Anson as new chair, succeeding Jennifer Dunstan, who will stay on with the organisation and remain on the board.
In his new role as chair, Anson will work closely with Jeryl Andrew, who has been Level 20 CEO since 2016.
George Anson has served on numerous advisory committees of European venture capital and buyout funds, and was chair of Invest Europe between 2013-2014. He is currently a senior adviser at HarbourVest Partners.
Alongside this appointment, Level 20 has launched an advisory council made up of senior men and women working in the private equity industry, to provide high-level advice to the organisation's leadership.
The advisory council will include James Brocklebank from Advent International, Nic Humphries from Hg, Wol Kolade from Livingbridge, Cathrin Petty from CVC Capital Partners, Cheryl Potter from Permira, and Emma Watford from Bridgepoint.
According to a statement, the advisory council has been established to provide a diverse range of strategic advice to the senior management team at Level 20, implement and deliver new initiatives, and act as ambassadors for Level 20's mission of increasing participation by women in the private equity industry across Europe.
