WestBridge promotes Whittard to director
UK buyout investor WestBridge has promoted Tim Whittard to director and Edward Minton to investment manager.
Whittard joined WestBridge in 2017 and has 15 years of experience in private-equity-backed management buyouts and growth capital. His focus is on the lower-mid-market. He began his career at PwC and moved on to private equity firms Sovereign Capital, Gresham House and Bridgepoint Capital before joining WestBridge.
Minton joins the investment team as an investment manager and will be responsible for origination and new investments. He joined the business in 2018 from WK Corporate Finance where he advised management teams and worked alongside private equity investors deploying growth capital into early-stage companies, primarily in the technology sector. He has also previously worked at Terra Firma Capital Partners and Crowe Clark Whitehill.
Founding partner, Valerie Kendall, has stated that the business is undertaking due diligence on several opportunities. It typically invests up to £15m in growing established UK-based companies with enterprise values of between £15-30m.
