Private investor platform Truffle Invest offers first PE fund
Truffle Invest, a newly launched platform that gives private individuals access to private-market funds, has launched its first private equity offering.
The platform launched in September last year and has already backed a VC fund with a limited investor pool, but the PE fund is the first to be open to a wider audience.
Investors are be able to log into the platform and pledge commitments to pan-European buyout fund manager Cinven’s seventh vehicle, which is expected to close on its €8bn hard-cap by the end of the first quarter, Unquote has learned.
The minimum investment size through Truffle is just £5,000 and it expects to add a private debt fund to the offering in the near future. It is mostly taking commitments from high-net-worth individuals and small family offices.
