Ambienta hires seven
Sustainable-investment-focused GP Ambienta has hired seven team members across its Italian and German offices.
The firm has appointed Capiton's Johannes Bayer as principal in its Düsseldorf office, who is joined there by newly recruited associates Nicolaas Hackbarth and Lennart Götz.
Bayer leaves his role as investment director at Capiton after four year with the firm, having previously worked at distressed advisory and investment firm Droege Group Advisory & Capital. Hackbarth leaves Solon Management Consulting after three years, during which time he specialised in telecommunications and technology, while Götz joins the firm's Düsseldorf office after four years in the leveraged finance division of HSH Nordbank.
Ambienta has also hired former Saipem lead project engineer Guido Emanuele Fucci, Green Arrow Capital's Nevena Batchvarova, The Boston Consulting Group's Andrea Florio and Marco Riva in its Milan office.
Fucci joins as an associate in the sustainability and strategy practice. He left Saipem after six years in 2016 to lead research projects at Yale University on sustainable infrastructure, monetisation of natural capital and public and private economics.
Nevena Batchvarova will work in investor relations for Ambienta, leaving her role as head of funds-of-funds and co-investment at Green Arrow Capital. Prior to this she worked at DeA Capital Alternative Funds, where she focused on primary and secondary investments in private equity funds. Batchvarova has also worked at Campbell Lutyens and Coller Capital.
Florio leaves The Boston Consulting Group after two years with the firm, during which time he specialised in corporate development and strategy projects in the industrial goods sector.
