
Advent International set to secure US LP commitments
Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) and New Mexico State Investment Council are set to commit to Advent International GPE IX, according to their meeting agendas as of 14 March.
Advent International GPE IX has a target of between $15-17bn and plans to hold a final close in mid-2019.
Its predecessor, Advent International GPE VIII, has raised $13bn and targets buyouts, recapitalisations and growth equity transactions in Europe and North America.
MainePERS, the $14.6bn pension fund, has previously committed $50m to Advent International GPE VIII.
New Mexico State Investment Council, a $23.4bn sovereign wealth fund managing the State of New Mexico's permanent trust funds, is looking to commit up to $100m to Advent International GPE IX.
Another US investor that has committed to Advent International GPE IX is Minnesota State Board of Investment, which has earmarked $150m for the fund.
