Fairview Capital launches to advise on GP-led secondaries
Former Park Hill executive Pablo Calo has launched Fairview Capital, a secondaries advisory firm.
The firm is a response to the rising volume of GP-led secondaries and will launch in London and New York simultaneously.
It will work with funds and their investors to provide solutions for closed-ended vehicles earmarked for private equity, debt and real estate investing.
Fairview estimates that there were GP-led deals worth $22bn last year, with the high volume driven by the potential for value creation of portfolio companies beyond the normal life of a fund, together with the option for investors who may wish to remain exposed to the assets or cash out on their investments at a "market tested" price.
Calso is joined by John Leone and Christopher Lui (both formerly of CEE-focused mid-market firm Forevest Capital Partners), as well as Jordan Robinson and Christine Gabbianelli (both formerly of advisory firm Bercomm Group).
