Alpha appoints Desplanches as managing director in France
Mid-market specialist Alpha Private Equity has appointed Pierre‐Olivier Desplanches as managing director in France.
In his new role, he will report directly to Alpha president Patrick Herman, who has been managing Alpha's offices in France and Benelux since 2017.
Prior to joining Alpha, Desplanches spent more than 18 years at Carlyle in France, where he participated in the investment of the first four European LBO funds.
With €2bn in assets under management, Alpha has carried out more than 150 deals in France, Italy, Germany, Benelux and Switzerland.
The firm is currently investing from its Alpha Private Equity Fund 7, which held a final close on €903m in June 2017, hitting its hard-cap and exceeding its €800m target.
