Jonathan Blake, widely credited with setting the template for the private equity LP agreement in Europe, has joined Herbert Smith Freehills in London.
Blake will be head of international private funds strategy for the firm. He will advise clients on their private funds requirements, drawing together the firm's existing capabilities, as well as generating new client opportunities through his network of private equity, real estate, infrastructure, credit, venture capital and secondaries managers.
Blake joins Herbert Smith Freehills from O'Melveny & Myers, prior to which he established and led the funds practice at SJ Berwin, where he was senior partner from 2006 to 2012.
