Schroder Adveq hires Unigestion's van der Kam to head secondaries
Schroder Adveq has appointed Christiaan van der Kam to the role of head of secondaries.
Van der Kam will join Schroder Adveq from Unigestion, where he was co-head of secondaries and helped build the firm's secondaries platform. He had joined the firm in 2008, following stints at New Amsterdam Capital and ATP Private Equity Partners.
He will start his new role at Schroder Adveq on 1 September.
Earlier this year, Schroder Adveq also appointed David Guryn as senior investment director for its secondaries practice in New York.
Schroder Adveq closed its third secondaries vehicle on €235m in 2018. The fund follows the strategy of the firm's previous secondaries vehicles, focusing on making smaller transactions, typically from smaller funds that targeted medium-sized buyouts, development capital, seed and early-stage venture capital and special situations.
